Hello. My name is Elise.

I’m a digital archivist working in Melbourne, Australia. This website is the product of my desire to continue the conversations that get started with peers and colleagues around conference time, and to engage further with the wider archival community.

My work is currently focused on digital preservation, processing workflows and metadata in the archival context. More broadly, I’m interested in how and whether archivists can meaningfully represent digital objects that exist outside of their original places of creation.

I’m also currently volunteering as a co-organiser for the Australasia Preserves digital preservation community of practice and as an Australian content editor for the free and open online journal Archivoz. If you’re interested in helping to expand the amount of English-language content on the Archivoz site by writing for us, please be in touch via elisebradshaw at gmail dot com.

I live and work on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nations, whose sovereignty was never ceded. I pay my respects to their Elders past, present and future.
